George Elwood Grant 

George Elwood Grant ( The Fox) 78 of North East MD. Passed away Wednesday July 10, 2024. He was born on September 25, 1945 in Rising Sun MD and was the late son of George Irvin Grant and Lillian May Baker. Preceded in death by his Wife Barbara Ann Grant (Purnell)  and his sister Linda Cooper.

 

(Elwood) enjoyed spending time with his beloved family and friends. Favorite Sports Teams was Seattle Seahawks and Washington Nationals. His Favorite TV shows was NCIS, Law and Order and 911. He loved to collect coins, cars and putting puzzles together.

 

Elwood served in the United States Army , played in (Drum & Bugle Corps Rebel Devil) was a long time employee of Elk Lanes Bowling Alley , Retired from Walmart in North East, finisher at G.S. Contracting and Herrs Potato Chip factory.

 

Elwood Survived by his Beloved Daughters Kelley Peden and her husband (Patrick) of SC, Cathy Hinkle her husband (Guy) of VA, His beloved Son Randy Grant and his wife (Stephanie) of MD, Brothers Robert Grant and Richard Grant wife (Betty).

 

His Beloved Grandchildren Lindsay Gregory (Chris), Steven Southern (Katy), Kimberly Shirley (Austin), Shawn Peden (Carley), Lauren Lynch, Sophie Hinkle, Zachary Hinkle (Karen),  Lacey Hinkle (Dawson), Ashlee Grant (Erick), Hailey Thomas (Auston), Alexis Grant, Aidyn Thomas (Angel), Gavin Thomas.

 

His Great Grandkids Elaina, Elizabeth Gregory,  Allie, Remi Peden,  Blaklee Taylor,  MJ, Aidan Jackson,  Emery Cesar and several Nieces Nephews and Friends. 

 

Services are Private and A Celebration of Life is set at a Later Date.
