Ronald Mull Sr.

July 22, 1948 - July 11, 2023

Ronald Mull Sr., 74, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away on Tuesday July 11, 2023 in his home surrounded by family.

He was the loving husband of Charlene Kay Mull (Wiley) with whom he shared 49 years of marriage.

Born on July 22, 1948 in Ephrata, PA, he was the son of the late Paul and Floy (Weinhold) Mull. In his early years, he could be found at the Reading Fairgrounds on the weekends racing the stock car that he co-owned with his best friend Ronnie Glick. Ronald was employed at De Pen Line (Phoenixville, PA), Keys Trucking (Nottingham, PA), Knight Run Trucking (Atglen, PA), Patrick Bye Trucking (Rising Sun, MD) and  O'Donnell Brothers (Quarryville, PA) just to name a few throughout his 58 years as a licensed CDL truck driver.

When he wasn't on the road, he was on the farm tending to the many animals (cows, horses, goats, geese, cats, dogs, you name it and he probably had one at some point) he owned and the problems that went with them, he lived to fix things and tinker in his garage. Ronald was a NASCAR enthusiast and avid television watcher when the Philadelphia Phillies or Eagles were playing.

Ronald was one of a kind. He was a man that wasn't afraid of hardwork or speaking his mind, and he always put his family's needs before his own. He attended countless family events including barrel racing weekends, sporting games, recitals, etc. over the years. We know he was grateful to spend lots of time with his special "caregivers" in his final weeks, RJ, Calvin, Patty Wiley (mother-in-law) and close family and friends that visited often.

Ronald is survived by his wife; one daughter, Brandi A. Mull (Patrick Bye); one son, Ronald Mull Jr.; four grandchildren, Kaylee A. Claudio (Frank), Chyanne A. Goodwin, Jordyn N. Giroso (Jamie) and Calvin M. Mull; four great-grandchildren, Isabella, Jovani, Frankie Jr. and Olive Claudio; one brother, Randy Mull (Jean); one sister, Roxanne Bennett (Robert); nieces and nephews, Jessica, Cory, Nicole and Bobby; brother-in-laws, Dane and Kim Wiley; sister-in-laws Bambi Ham and Tanya Orr; as well as many other family members, friends and aquantiences that will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, brother Rodney Mull and father-in-law Harry Wiley Jr.

Services will be private and a memorial will be held at a later date.
